Retirement decisions

Retirement is not one decision. It is a series of connected choices.

Income, Social Security, pensions, healthcare, taxes, investments, and estate decisions all interact. We help you organize those choices into a plan you can understand and revisit.

What we can review

Bring the pieces into one conversation.

Retirement income planning

Direct answers

Start with the question you asked.

Can I retire with what I have saved?

Compare expected spending with Social Security, pensions, work income, and the amount retirement savings must provide. Test the plan against longer life, inflation, healthcare costs, taxes, and difficult early market returns before choosing a date.

When should I start Social Security?

The decision depends on health, longevity, work, cash flow, taxes, marital benefits, and survivor protection. Starting earlier provides income sooner; delaying generally increases the monthly benefit up to age 70.

What are the inherited IRA withdrawal rules?

The rules depend on your relationship to the owner, the owner’s death date and age, the account type, and available exceptions. Many non spouse beneficiaries face a ten year deadline and may also have annual distribution requirements.

How could taxes change through retirement?

Taxable income can shift as wages end, Social Security begins, required distributions start, or assets are sold. Coordinating withdrawals, gains, deductions, and possible Roth conversions may help manage taxes over time.
